Hello! I’m Ryan Warnick, and I recently defended my PhD in the Department of Statistics at Rice University. I was advised by Dr. Marina Vannucci of Rice University, and Dr. Michele Guindani of the University of California, Irvine.
I’m working as a High Performance Computing Computational Scientist for Numerical Algorithms Group at the British Petroleum Center for High Performance Computing.
The mathematical topics I’m interested in include:
- Bayesian statistics; application and theory
- Graphical models
- Computational methods in statistics, particularly related to Bayesian statistics and exploiting graphical structure
- Nonparametric Bayesian statistics
During my PhD my application of interest was neuroscience and neuro-imaging. For my employer I currently work in seismic applications.
Thanks for visiting my site.
