Ryan Warnick, Statistics PhD. Student

Hello! I’m Ryan Warnick, and I am currently a PhD student in the Department of Statistics at Rice University. I’m advised by Dr. Marina Vannucci of Rice University, and Dr. Michele Guindani of the University of California, Irvine.

I’m also working as a High Performance Computing Computational Scientist for Numerical Algorithms Group at the British Petroleum Center for High Performance Computing.

The mathematical topics I’m interested in include:

  • Bayesian statistics; application and theory
  • Graphical models
  • Computational methods in statistics, particularly related to Bayesian statistics and exploiting graphical structure
  • Nonparametric Bayesian statistics

My main applied interest are neuroscience and neuro-imaging.

For my first two years I was funded by an NIH T32 training grant, and I’m currently supported by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.

Thanks for visiting my site.
